京おどり ここに注目
毎年『新作』を書き下ろし
前半、後半を通して毎年書き下ろし。前半は古典作品や京の風物をテーマにすえ、芸妓、舞妓の舞でストーリーを紡ぎます。曲もこのときの演目に合わせて書き下ろし、新しい世界を広げます。後半は花鳥風月、民謡・民舞を題材として、新しい切り口の舞を披露します。曲も新たに作曲されます。
芸妓による『生演奏』
芸妓が披露するのは舞踊だけではありません。地方（じかた）と呼ばれる芸妓が舞台上で唄や三味線・笛・鼓といった鳴物（なりもの）を担い、踊りや物語の流れをつくりあげます。
圧巻の「宮川音頭」
フィナーレはご存じ「宮川音頭」。芸妓、舞妓が総出演し、一糸乱れぬ動きで舞台狭しと華やかに群舞します。終盤の歌詞は、ごひいきのお客様にもお馴染みです。

The 75th Kyo Odori
This performance of dance celebrating the arrival of spring began in 1950.After enjoying the
program of different dances, the audience is treated to the Miyagawa Ondo dance,which is presented each year as
the finale of the event and is performed by the entire company of female "geiko" and "maiko" dancers.
This group performance by all of the dancers clothed in gorgeous kimono,their sleeves almost brushing against
each other,makes for a splendid spectacle. The entire event adds an enchanting accent to springtime in Kyoto.

About the tea ceremony
The tea ceremony is performed with table and chairs, and the geiko will be seated while serving the tea.
You can participate in the tea ceremony only prior to the performance, and there is no need to worry if you cannot come, as you can still take a plate and snacks with you.
Please enter at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the performance time.
Admission to the tea ceremony will close 10 minutes prior to the start of the performance time.
There is no admission after the viewing. If you cannot make it in time for the viewing, you can still take souvenirs with you.

- First-class seat 7,000 yen（First floor）
- Second-class seat 6,000 yen（Second floor）
* No one under 10 years old will be admitted.
All seats include a tea ceremony ticket.
