宮川町恒例の春のおどり「京おどり」につきましては、本年5月の宮川町 新歌舞練場の開場準備に伴い休止とさせていただきます。
なお、令和8年春に第75回京おどりとして開催の予定でございます。
また、秋の「みずゑ會」につきましても、11月上旬に新歌舞練場「杮落し公演」開催に伴い同じく休止させていただきます。
新装なります宮川町歌舞練場にて、ご期待に沿う舞台をご披露いたす所存でございます。その節には皆様のご来場、心よりお待ち申し上げております。

The Miyagawa-cho annual spring dance “Kyo Odori” will be suspended due to preparations for the opening of the new Miyagawa-cho Kaburenjo in May this year.
The 75th Kyo Odori is scheduled to be held in the spring of 2026.
In addition, the autumn “Mizue Kai” will also be suspended due to the “Kokera Otoshi” performance (first performance at a new theatre) in early November at the new Kaburenjo.
We will be performing at the newly renovated Miyagawa-cho Kaburenjo and hope the performance will live up to your expectations. We sincerely look forward to seeing you there.

京おどり ここに注目
毎年『新作』を書き下ろし
前半、後半を通して毎年書き下ろし。前半は古典作品や京の風物をテーマにすえ、芸妓、舞妓の舞でストーリーを紡ぎます。曲もこのときの演目に合わせて書き下ろし、新しい世界を広げます。後半は花鳥風月、民謡・民舞を題材として、新しい切り口の舞を披露します。曲も新たに作曲されます。
芸妓による『生演奏』
芸妓が披露するのは舞踊だけではありません。地方（じかた）と呼ばれる芸妓が舞台上で唄や三味線・笛・鼓といった鳴物（なりもの）を担い、踊りや物語の流れをつくりあげます。
圧巻の「宮川音頭」
フィナーレはご存じ「宮川音頭」。芸妓、舞妓が総出演し、一糸乱れぬ動きで舞台狭しと華やかに群舞します。終盤の歌詞は、ごひいきのお客様にもお馴染みです。
The 74th Kyo Odori
This performance of dance celebrating the arrival of spring began in 1950.After enjoying the
program of different dances, the audience is treated to the Miyagawa Ondo dance,which is presented each year as
the finale of the event and is performed by the entire company of female "geiko" and "maiko" dancers.
This group performance by all of the dancers clothed in gorgeous kimono,their sleeves almost brushing against
each other,makes for a slendid spectacle. The entire event adds an enchanting accent to springtime in Kyoto.
